Schuller’s “Religious Inclusivity”

In Schuller’s 2001 autobiography, My Journey: From an Iowa Farm to a Cathedral of Dreams, Schuller wrote:

“’As the century, as well as the millennium, drew to a close, I was astounded to see how much my perspective had shifted. In my early years, my world was Sioux county, Iowa, and the Dutch Reformed Church, but now I had a global awareness. Going ‘somewhere’ from ‘nowhere’ had begun to take on a whole new meaning. I was moving further and further into a mindset of religious inclusivity.  This was another ‘edge,’ to be sure – but I had by now grown comfortable living on that edge. In fact, I liked it!…

“’And I’m dreaming a bold impossible dream: that positive thinking [note: Remember Norman Vincent Peale’s Power of Positive Thinking?] Believers in God will rise above the illusions that our sectarian religions have imposed on the world, and that leaders of the major faiths will rise above doctrinal idiosyncrasies, choosing not to focus on disagreements, but rather to transcend divisive dogmas to work together to bring peace and prosperity and hope to the world.’” [Schuller, My Journey, pp. 492, 502]

Schuller Attacks Sectarian “Illusions,” and “Doctrinal Idiosyncrasies,” Calling Upon All to “Transcend Divisive Dogmas”

And now you see the essential connection between pantheism and ecumenism. Notice how Schuller speaks disparagingly of the “illusions that our sectarian religions have imposed on the world.” Was Martin Luther driven by “illusions?” That is what Schuller would have you believe. What about the study of John Knox and the Scottish covenanters who stood up for their faith against the king’s dragoons? Was that an illusion? Now you can see that Satan is driving this kind of evil disparagement of the great men of God who launched the Protestant Reformation. What about William Miller? In addition, is the seventh-day Sabbath a “doctrinal idiosyncrasy” to Schuller? And then Schuller calls for all to “transcend” “divisive dogmas.” Clearly, none other than the New Age Christ is driving the purpose of Schuller.

Loaded Language

The New Age laden terms being used to introduce pantheism are “Transcend,” “Force,” “Daring,” “Enlarge,” “Dream,” “Think globally; act locally,” “Passion,” “Purpose,” “Oneness,” etc.

Neale Donald Walsch and his New Age ‘God’ are proposing a 5-Step PEACE Plan to help “transcend” the differences.

New Age PEACE Plan Introduced One Year After 9/11

New Age P.E.A.C.E. Plan Advanced After 9/11

“One year after the events of September 11th, 2001, New Age leader Neale Donald Walsch’s new Book The New Revelations: A Conversation with God was published. In this book, Walsch announced that ‘God’ was now offering humanity an opportunity to avert self-destruction and achieve world peace by accepting the principles of New Age Spirituality. Walsch explained that ‘God’ was proposing a post-September 11th ‘PEACE Plan’ that would help to bring the world’s widely varying religions and belief systems closer together.  Walsch’s ‘God’ was calling his PEACE Plan ‘The Five Steps to Peace.’ And both Walsch and his ‘God’ were citing Robert Schuller as the kind of ‘extraordinary minister’ who could help make the PEACE Plan and the New Age Spirituality work for everyone.

Walsch’s New Age “God” Quotes Schuller’s “Self-Esteem: The New Reformation” And Suggests a Universal Standard

“Walsch’s ‘God’ quoted a statement that Schuller had made in his 1982 book, Self-Esteem: The New Reformation. [Note: The reader may recall how the message of “self-esteem” swept through the churches including the Structure in the 1980s after Schuller wrote this book.] Schuller had written that ‘theologians must have their international, universal, transceedal, transcultural, transracial standard.’ [Neale Donald Walsch, the New Revelations: A Conversation with God, p. 282; Robert H. Schuller, Self-Esteem: The New Reformation, p. 38] Walsch’s ‘God’ suggested that this universal standard be the statement: ‘We Are All One.’ [Walsch, op. cit., 282].” Warren Smith, p. 59.

Here is the New Age reinforcement of Rome’s alignment of all religions behind herself in a war against the last remnants of true Protestantism in the Culture War, propounded by Peter Kreeft, a professor at the Jesuit Boston College in 1996 in his Ecumenical Jihad and again in another book, How to Win the Culture War, in 2002.

Rome’s Culture War, which has captured the White House, the House of Representatives and the Senate, and now the Supreme Court, with the appointment of Justices Roberts and Alito, is the political/religious arm of the movement of alignment behind Rome.

Walsch is providing the New Age dimension of pantheistic spiritualism. It is a gathering of the same elements that drove Nazi Germany – Rome, the Occult, the Jesuits, New Age, and Eastern Religions, all over again – only this time on a far more sophisticated and global basis.

“Transcending” Belief Systems

In The New Revelations: Conversations With God Walsch warns that:

“The world is in trouble. Bigger trouble than it has ever been in before.

“This book provides an explanation of the crisis we are facing in a way that not only clarifies the crisis, but clarifies how to resolve it….

“This is a life-altering book. It contains New Revelations. It provides the tools with which to pull ourselves out of despair, lifting the whole human race to a new level of experience, to a new understanding of itself, to a new expression of its grandest vision.” [Walsch, vii, viii.]

New Age Call to “Transcend” Beliefs – Modify and Enlarge, Combine “Old” and “New”

‘’God told Walsch that people are not being terrorized by other people. They are being terrorized by other people’s ‘beliefs.’ [Walsch, p. 38]. In language and a tone reminiscent of the serpent in the Garden of Eden, Walsch’s ‘God’ explained that people don’t have to change their individual beliefs; they just need to ‘transcend’ them.  He said that ‘transcending’ does not mean that you have to abandon your beliefs completely, but rather just modify and ‘enlarge’ them.

‘’ Transcending’ does not mean always being ‘other than,’ it means always being ‘larger than.’ Your new, larger belief system will no doubt retain some of the old – that part of the old belief system that you experience as still serving you – and so it will be a combination of the new and the old, not a rejection of the old from top to bottom.’ [Walsch, p. 8].” Warren Smith, 60. (Emphasis mine)

Structure Is Combining “Old” With “New”

This is exactly and precisely what is happening to the Structure. Certain co-operating ministries provide evangelists who still put forward the “old” belief system, the 28 Fundamental Beliefs [along with their problems] are still in place, while meanwhile the belief system of the Structure is being enlarged to take in Jesuit Spiritual Formation training, Spiritual Directors, Schuller’s self-esteem,” Rick Warren’s “purpose Driven Life,” the New Age, occultic Message bible, Celebration, NLP, youth ministries Teilhardian pantheism and universalism.  On and on we could go. New Age Spirituality is defining what is happening in the Structure belief system which has now ‘transcended” the old belief system which was “other than.”

John Paul II Had the Same Concept

Pope John Paul II propounded the same concept as described by Malachi Martin in The Keys of This Blood.

“The Provincial Globalists (which includes Seventh-day Adventists) of our age are destined to undergo a series of severe shocks and mutations as, they adapt themselves to the new globalism emanating from the powerful groups. There is no way that any of them will be able to maintain itself in any vibrancy and progressive strength unless it allows-or suffers-its provincialism to be enlarged beyond the confines it traditionally observed.  Individuals among them may for a while maintain themselves within those confines. However, inevitably, as groups they will have to face dire alternatives. Either they will become thoroughly and realistically globalized and therefore capable of collaborating in the building of a geopolitical structure. Or, as groups, they will remain in place, diminish in numbers and influence, and finally lose their identity as operative parts in a new world order.” –Malachi martin, Keys of This Blood, 291, 292.

God’s people, however, have a means of comprehending what is going on. It is called prophecy, and it is being fulfilled before our very eyes in a most shocking manner.

What the pope propounded in the 1980s, what Rome organized in the 1990s with Ecumenical Jihad, and what New Age has advanced in 2002, is now being implemented in all the denominations worldwide.

New Age Plan of “Adding To” Belief Systems

Walsch’s “God” advised that most people couldn’t and shouldn’t abandon all their beliefs because it would make everything suddenly seem ‘wrong.’  It would make their scriptures and traditions seem wrong. It would make their lives seem wrong. ‘God’ told Walsch:

“’ In fact, you don’t have to declare that you were ‘wrong’ about everything, because you weren’t. You simply didn’t have a complete understanding. You needed more information.

“Transcending current beliefs is not an outright rejection of them; it is an ‘adding to’ them.

“Now that you have more information that you can add to what you presently believe, you can enlarge your beliefs-not completely reject them, enlarge them-and move on with your lives in a new way.

A way that works.’ [Walsch, p. 9]

New Spirituality Necessitates “A Willingness To Compromise” And “Give Up” Most Sacredly Held Beliefs

“But then there is a ‘catch.’ Walsch’s New Age ‘God’ warned that the New Spirituality would necessitate a willingness to compromise. To achieve world peace, people will have to sincerely dialogue about their perceived differences and perhaps even ‘give up’ some of their most sacredly held beliefs. ‘God’ explained to Walsch:

‘’ It will take an unprecedented act of courage, on a grand scale. You may have to do something virtually unknown in the annuls of human history…

“’ You may have to give up some of your most sacred beliefs.’ [Walsch, 175] (Emphasis mine)

New Age: “Self-centered” Belief in a Personal Savior Not conductive to World Peace

“Walsch’s ‘God’ explained that in the near future established religions may still retain the general nature of their individual identities. However, he severely warned that a ‘self-centered’ and ‘exclusivistic’ belief in a personal Savior would not be conducive to a world seeking peace and harmony. In other words, he was telling Christians that, in the days of the New Spirituality, Jesus can be your friend but not your Lord and Savior. In a statement that should sober every Christian believer on the face of the earth, Walsch’s ‘God’ warned:

“Yet let me make something clear. The era of the Single Savior is over. What is needed now is joint action, combined effort, collective co-creation.’ [Walsch, 157]. –Warren Smith, 61, 62, 63.

Walsch’s “God:” Build a Bridge

“’God’ then described his solution for how humanity can learn to live together through ‘combined effort’ and ‘collective co-creation.’ By cleverly removing the word ‘Age’ from ‘New Age Spirituality,’ Walsch’s ‘God’ called his repackaged New Age solution the ‘New Spirituality.’

“’ Not something to completely replace the old, but something to refresh it.

“’ Not something to reduce the old, but something to expand it.

“’ Not something to subvert the old, but something to support the best of it.

“’ It is now time to present the world with new theological thoughts and ideas, a new spiritual model.

“’ The world must have something new to hold on to if it is to release its grip on the old. If we were in the middle of a raging stream, would you let go of a log?…

“’ Build, therefore, a bridge.’

Walsch’s “God” PEACE Plan

“Prior to directly suggesting that Robert Schuller’s theology of self-esteem could be the kind of ‘bridge’ that could help humanity transition into the New Spirituality, Walsch’s ‘God’ formally presented his 5-Step PEACE Plan. The PEACE Plan is the proposed spiritual process that will help everyone move past ‘outmoded’ beliefs and prepare the way for the New Spirituality…

THE FIVE STEPS TO PEACE

Permit ourselves to acknowledge that some of our old beliefs about God and about life are no longer working.

Explore the possibility that there is something we do not understand about God and about Life, the understanding of which could change everything.

Announce that we are willing for new understanding of God and life to now be brought forth, understanding that could produce a new way of life on this planet.

Courageously examine these new understandings and, if they align with out personal inner truth and knowing, to enlarge our belief system to include them.

Express our lives as demonstrations of our highest beliefs, rather than as a denial of them. (Emphasis added)
