Revelation 20:9   They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.

Revelation 20:10   And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

Before we look at these verses, I’d like to see the remaining time to explain the sequence of events that occurs at the end of the 1,000 years.

First:

Revelation 21:2   I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

Revelation 21:3   And I heard a loud voice from the thrown saying, “now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

Second:

Revelation 20:11   Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.

Revelation 20:12   And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the thrown, and the books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.

Revelation 20:13   The sea gave up her dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done.

Third:

Revelation 20:7   When the thousand years were over, Satan will be released from his prison,

Revelation 20:8   and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth Gog and Magog – to gather them for battle. In number they are life the sand of the seashore.

They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Fourth:

Revelation 20:14   Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

Revelation 20:15   If anyone’s name was not found in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Fifth:

Revelation 21:1   Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

Revelation 21:5   He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything hew!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

Revelation 21:6   He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.

Revelation 21:7   He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

Revelation 21:8   But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars – their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Malachi 4:1   “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and  every evil doer will be stubble, and that day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them.

Malachi 4:2   But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.

Malachi 4:3   Then you will trample down the wicked, they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day I do these things,” says the Lord Almighty.

Does this mean Eternal Hell? No.

Does this mean restitution be extracted and justice served? Yes.

Mark 9:47   And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,

Mark 9:48   where “’their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.’

Mark 9:49   Everyone (thrown into Hell) will be salted with fire.”
