The destruction that attends the first four trumpets is in perfect alignment with the fourth seal (25% of earth’s population will die) and the casting down of the censer that marks the end of corporate intercessionby Jesus. And now that it is 2008, there’s no question that all this will happen after 1994.

 

When mercy ends, wrath begins. Do you see that perfect harmony keeps growing from the sum of all the parts! The Bible is so amazing!

 

The book of Revelation was written about 30 years after the Apostle Paul was beheaded. However, Paul was shown a few things about the end of the world.

 

Paul knew the devil would be allowed to physically appear at the end of the world. He knew that the devil would masquerade as Almighty God and his blasphemous claims would be ‘backed up” with the most amazing miracles the world has ever seen. Paul discusses this event at some length in 2 Thessalonians 2.

 

Paul indicates that Lucifer will take the form of a glorious man, and while in this form, he will “be the man of sin [KJV],” or “the lawless one [NIV].” [This is no coincidence. Jesus took the form of a man to save the world, and Lucifer will be permitted to take the form of a man to destroy the world!]

 

Paul knew that Lucifer would be allowed to come out of the spirit realm and be visible at the appointed time! Paul knew the devil would present himself to mankind in the form of a glorious and beautiful man. [This should not surprise us for we know the devil appeared before Eve in the form of a beautiful serpent for the purpose of deception.] The point here is that Paul knew the devil could not appear before mankind until corporate intercessionhad ended!

 

In other words, the devil is not permitted to leave the spirit realm where he is presently confined [the abyss] until the censer is cast down.

2 Thessalonians 2:5   Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?

 

2 Thessalonians 2:6   And now you know what is holding him [the devil] back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time.

 

2 Thessalonians 2:7   For the secret [unseen] power of lawlessness [rebellion against God] is already at work; but the one who now holds it back [Jesus] will continue to do so till he [Jesus] is taken out of the way.

 

2 Thessalonians 2:8   “And then the lawless one [the man of sin] will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.”  

 

We should not be surprised, but Paul’s prediction perfectly aligns with the details set forth in the book of Revelation that was written 30 years after Paul’s death. The devil will physically appear during the fifth trumpet – and we know the fifth trumpet will occur after the censer is cast down [The fifth trumpet occurs after Jesus is taken out of the way].

 

You may recall that the casting down of the censer is marked on Earth by four physical phenomena: Peals of thunder, lightening, rumblings and an earthquake. When the censer is cast down, the whole world will be in the middle of World War III, but the whole world will be brought to a sudden and abrupt stop.  

 

This earthquake will break up the surface of the Earth so that travel (and war) will be difficult, if not impossible. The global earthquake that comes from God in Revelation 8:5 will be a surgical strike. God has a strategic purpose – a deliberate purpose for this earthquake. Bridges, roads, high rise buildings, freeways, runways, hydroelectric dams, power grids and underground utilities will be toppled or pulled apart.

 

God will divide Earth into 144,000 small parcels and in each parcel, one of God’s servants will be found. You may be wondering, how can this earthquake be global since Revelation 8:5 doesn’t say anything about the earthquake being global? Good question. Consider this:  

 

The following occurs at the Second Coming:

 

Revelation 16:17   The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne saying, “It is done.”

 

Revelation 16:18   Then there came flashes of lightening, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake….

 

Revelation 16:20   Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found.

 

Revelation 16:21   From the sky huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon man. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.”

 

So, at the Second Coming there will be:

 

1.   flashes of lightening

2.   rumblings,

3.   peals of thunder

4.   the worst global earthquake ever (every mountain and island moved)

5.   hailstorm

 

The Second Coming is a global event. Moving the islands and mountains out of their places is a global event.

 

Now, look at the text concerning the seventh trumpet:

 

Revelation 11:19   Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the Ark of the Covenant. And there came flashes of lightening, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm.”

 

 At the seventh trumpet there will be:

 

1.   flashes of lightening,

2.   rumblings,

3.   peals of thunder

4.   an earthquake

5.   hailstorm

 

The seventh trumpet is a global event. The Ark of the Covenant, which contains God’s law, the Ten Commandments, will be shown to the whole world because this is the higher law, which the wicked refused to acknowledge.

 

The point here is that the seventh trumpet and the Second Coming share exact same physical phenomena with this exception, the earthquake at the Second Coming is more intense.

 

Now, look at this familiar text:

 

Revelation 8:5   Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the alter, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightening and an earthquake.”

 

For the third time in Revelation we find:

 

1.   flashes of lightening,

2.   rumblings,

3.   peals of thunder

4.   an earthquake

5.   hailstorm

 

But you say, no hailstorm was mentioned in Revelation 8:5. True, but the hailstorm of burning hail is mentioned in verse 7, the first trumpet.

 

Revelation 8:7   The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.”

 

Ok, three times the same physical phenomena take place. Since the end of corporate mercy concerns the whole world, what would be the point of a great earthquake in some remote parts of Siberia when the censer is thrown down?

 

Did the earthquake and the tsunami that killed 250,000 people in December 2004, affect daily life in the United States. No. Will the end of corporate mercy affect everyone on Earth? Yes.

 

Therefore, these signs and wonders have to be global. The book of Revelation is just as pertinent and relevant in Moscow, Jerusalem and Sydney as it is in Washington, D.C.
