A Sample of Timing

 

For the sake of discussion, let’s suppose the 1,335^th day occurs on Sunday, April 3, 2011. Why this date? On this particular day we could have the following alignment:

 

New Day

New Week [Sunday]

New Month [New Moon]

New Year [Nisan 1, New Year’s Day]

The beginning of the seventh Millennium

 

If April 3, 2011 is the 1,335^th day then, counting backwards, we find:

 

Wednesday   8/08/07   Global Earthquake / 4 Trumpets follow

Wednesday   9/12/07   Persecution Begins – the 42 moons begin

Thursday       1/14/10   Devil appears masquerading as God [The Antichrist]

Friday           1/15/10    Five Moons of Torment Begins

Sunday          6/13/10    Sixth Trumpet sounds / 5^th seal broken

Tuesday        1/18/11    1,260 days end + 3.5 days

Sunday          1/23/11    144,000 ascend to Heaven / 7 Bowls begin

Here’s an interesting point: Nisan 1 [new moon conjunction] occurs on Sunday about 12 times a century. Here’s the next three:

I have said for many years that I think the window for “the 6,000^th year of sin” is somewhere between 1998 and 2017 and two more alignments will occur before 2017.

We already know that God’s timing during the Great Tribulation is calculated down to the hour. We know that each unit of time has its own synchrony.

 

We know that with God, timing is everything! And of course, we know that time will soon reveal the truth! I know that any discussion of the timing of the Second Coming makes some Christians scoff. However, I want to go on record saying that once the Great Tribulation begins, one of the first questions that Christians will ask is this: “How long is tribulation going to take?”

 

God did not carelessly put 18 prophetic time-periods in Daniel and Revelation. They are there for our benefit! So, I tell the scoffers, “Get over it! When the Great tribulation begins, the day and the hour of Christ’s return will no longer be a secret. Anyone able to count off 1,335 days can figure it out.”

 

Revelation 11:3   And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.

Rule 3: Apocalyptic language can be literal, analogous or symbolic. To determine the intended meaning of a phrase, one must consider (a) the context (b) the use of parallel language in Scripture or (c) if an element is thought to be symbolic, that symbol must be defined by relevant Scripture.

 

The Bible says the Two Witnesses are “the two olive trees and the two lamp stands that stand before the Lord.” The number two is literal [numbers are always literal], but the olive trees and lamp stands are symbols and the Bible interprets these symbols for us.

To reach the intended meaning of these symbols we have to understand the use of parallel language in the O.T. because these two symbols are not defined anywhere else in the Bible. Millions of people have been misled on the topic of the Two Witnesses. This is why I have taken so much time on the 144,000 and this topic.

 

Millions of Christians believe the Two Witnesses will be two people that come down from Heaven – perhaps Moses and Elijah and after testifying for 1,260 days, they will be killed. This interpretation is false. The Bible does not teach the Two Witnesses will be two people who appear on Earth during the Great Tribulation. God will have 144,000 people prophesying for Him, He doesn’t need two more people.

 

To understand the symbolism of the two olive trees and the two lamp stands mentioned in Revelation 11, we have to go back in history about 2,500 years and do some investigating in the book of Zechariah.

 

If you have studied the Old Testament very much, you already know that God rose up king Nebuchadnezzar to destroy Jerusalem and the temple. God did this because His patience with Israel’s apostasy ran out. You also know that If God had abandoned the nation of Israel during the Babylonian captivity that would have been the end of Israel.

 

For that matter, if God had abandoned the nation of Israel in the wilderness, that would have been the end of Israel. But, God doesn’t give up on mankind. He just “regroups” and starts over because He obligated Himself to keep three unilateral promises to Abraham.
